  • 2-13 Dec 2019: SYCA had 1 representative to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) 22nd Conference of Parties (COP25), in Madrid, Spain. Member: Cheryl Lee.
  • 20 Nov 2019: SYCA organised a pre-COP25 session “What about COP leh?”. Our speakers included SYCA’s members Swati and Cheryl, Anshari Rahman from the National Climate Change Secretariat, as well as Liang-Yi from 350.org. 
  • 14 Nov 2019: Cuifen, Jeremy, Cheryl – met up with Anshari to connect on COP.
  • 29 Oct 2019: Cuifen – Sharing with NUS SAVE members. “SYCA and personal reflection on climate action”.
  • 27 Oct 2019: SYCA in partnership with Energy Studies Institute co-organised a pre-COP25 Climate Change Capacity Building Workshop and Panel discussion on Eco-Anxiety.
  • 26 Oct 2019: Lastrina – Panel Speaker for Environment Track of SG Youth Action Plan’s (YAP) Youth Action Challenge organised by the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, and National Youth Council. Share efforts undertaken with other youth in championing climate change.
  • 3 Oct 2019: Cuifen – GIIS Youth for Climate Action’s Climate Action summit at Global Indian International School Punggol. “Role of Youth in Climate Action”.
  • 26 Sep 2019: Cuifen and Swati – Speak Your Mind event at A Good Space. Co-Organised with Mother Earth Toastmasters club.
  • 21 Sep 2019: Lastrina – Judge for Scholastic Environment Fund’s Oral Competition on Environmental Solutions.
  • 30 Jul 2019: Cuifen – MOE Forum on Active Citizenry. Secondary school students from 2 schools. Mentioned SYCA in speech. “Finding my voice to advocate for sustainable living”.
  • 6 Jul 2019: Cuifen – Campus Party. Big picture sharing on choosing to care for earth as earth citizens. Included story of persons met at COP. “Child of Earth, we have a choice”.
  • 10 Jun 2019: SYCA organised “What’s Hot in Singapore?” a dialogue with the youth in Singapore and talk about how we can collectively create meaningful climate action.
  • 26 Mar 2019: Lastrina – Part of the Climate Action panel discussion for ENV4101, a capstone course in the Bachelor of Environmental Studies (BES) programme in NUS.
